Why you need to spank your kids!

Look at the mom just sitting there, kindly telling her precious little snowflake to "Stop yelling" and "Calm down" when she should be beating the snot out of her for behaving like a wild animal. One of the many problems with America today are parents "raising" their kids like this, so that they grow up to be spoiled, self-centered, self-entitled, a**holes. Parents these days are too worried about being their kids' friend or the "cool mom/dad" than an actual parent.

Letting kids get away with bad behavior, not instilling personal responsibility, and taking care of everything for them, only hurts them in the long run. Because eventually, the parents will no longer be around and the child will have grown up lacking the basic skills to properly take care of themselves in the world.

I thank my parents daily for raising me with discipline and making me take responsibility for my actions so that I turned out to be a civilized and productive member of society.

Here's another example of poor parenting, if you feel like reading: The mother who gets her 13-year-old to behave... by giving her cigarettes.

Happy Birfday Nanci!

Add one more to the list of October birthdays (Valentine babies).

Nanci turned the big 2-2 today! She's not only going to have a birth-day...but a whole birth-week. While her official birthday is today, her family is getting everyone together next weekend to celebrate. That means she gets to enjoy her real birthday with her friends and another belated birthday with family a week later.

Technically Nanci's birthday started Saturday night while she was house sitting Zoey for my parents. We invited friends over for some games. While we were playing, a few of them sneakily decorated her car as we kept her distracted inside.

Zoey even dressed up for the party!

After all of the fun Saturday night, we had a pretty lazy Sunday just hanging around the house and cleaning up a little from the night before. Then we went to a birthday dinner at Shogun and brought my little sister along! There were about 4 other birthdays happening while we were there (including one at our same teppan table).

It was such a fun filled weekend for Nanci's BDay, I can't wait until next weekend! And thank God for Valentine's day. ;)

My Prediction for President

Like it or not, Obama will be the next president.

As the economy worsens, more and more people will want a change of political party for president. Simple as that.

Happy Birthday Jonathan

Happy Birthday Jonathan. Hope you had a good one!

Hmmmm....I'm starting to notice a trend. So many October birthdays. 9 months earlier is February, so they must be Valentines babies. ;)

Happy Birthday Mom!

Saturday afternoon my brothers, sister and I all met at my mom's house to spend the day celebrating her birthday.

First stop, Red Robin for Lunch.

Next, we went to the movie Step Brothers at Nate's theater.

After the funny and "slightly" crude movie, we went back to my mom's house to play board games and have dinner.

For dinner we had delicious wild Alaskan salmon with vegetables.

Finally we ended the night by singing Happy Birthday and having ice cream cake.
Hope you had a GREAT birthday mom. I know we all had a great time celebrating with you!
