Sunday afternoon my girlfriend called me up and asked if I had eaten lunch? It was already 2PM but I hadn't yet, so she suggested we go to Red Robin since her dad gave us a gift card. That sounded like a good idea. Then she came up with the GREAT idea to ride my scooter over to pick her up and we could ride doubled up to the mall.
So we rode to the mall and in between feeling like we were almost going to tip over whenever we leaned into a turn, to only being able go about 33MPH and having cars that were RIGHT behind us...It was totally a BLAST! The day was perfect for riding too, nice and warm with a cool breeze. As we rode around the mall parking lot to find a space we received a few funny looks. But I know they were just jealous. :P After we found a spot we went into RR and each had a delicious burger & fries. Then we walked around the mall for a bit to burn it off. Haha
But how it this for perfect timing? My scooter was running on empty Friday so the last thing I did on the way home was fill it up. But more importantly I was very low on oil and didn't have any left at home. That Sunday about an hour before she called, I had just bought some oil and filled up my scooter. If I hadn't done those things we wouldn't have been able to have the fun adventure we did. Plus with the gift card providing a free meal, everything just lined up perfectly, as they tend to do for us!

Since I hadn't been home before 9PM for the past week there were quite a few things I had put off. So because I had this Friday off, rather than lounge around on my laptop, like any extra day off. I decided to create a list of things to get done.
Here's the list:

There must be something about 2008??? Is it because of the Olympics? Or perhaps because it's an election year? For some reason everyone is getting married. This is the 4th wedding I have attended this year.
The reception was held at the Carmel Mountain Ridge Country Club. It had a very nice open dining room, and the DJ ("Bobby Bouchea") was definitely lots of fun.
Here are a few pictures.
We don't need a dance floor to get down, dancing by the table is fine too
A picture with the lovely married couple. Congratulations!Posted at 4:51 PM 3 comments
